Control how your contribution is disbursed
There are several options for donors to direct their contributions to the Scholarship Foundation Program. Monetary donations will be placed into general funds for scholarships or can be directed to a specific scholarship. Donations can also be used to establish a new scholarship. Donors can decide whether their contributions will be one-time or reoccurring. Special gifts and donations are welcome to assist in fundraising for the Scholarship Foundation Program.
General Funds
All funds received by the Scholarship Foundation Program are placed in the General Fund unless they fit one of the other three categories listed below. General Funds are carefully allocated by the Scholarship Foundation Program’s Executive Committee to one or more of the Scholarship Foundation Program’s activities, which presently include scholarship and research grants, awards, and other approved activities and projects of the Scholarship Foundation Program.
Designated Fund for One Time Use
Individuals, companies, and other entities can donate money that is set aside as a designated fund for a onetime use such as a project, award, scholarship, research grant, or publication. There is no expectation that this particular cause, event, or project will occur more than once. A one-time use donation can be named after someone if such an honor is appropriate. For details on how these funds are set up and administered, please contact the Scholarship Foundation Program Office.
Designated Fund for an Ongoing or Serial Project
Individuals, companies, and other entities can donate money that is set aside as a designated fund for an ongoing or serial project or repetitive-use project, award, scholarship, or research grant or other event or activity. Funds that meet the criteria can be named in honor of individuals etc. Examples of such designated funds include scholarships or awards given out multiple times over a series of years. For details on how these funds are set up and administered, please contact the Scholarship Foundation Program Office.
Special Gifts or Donations
These are funds received or designated by the Executive Committee for special or restricted purposes that do not fit the definitions of the above funds. For additional details on the above or to discuss how the Scholarship Foundation Program can help you, please contact the Scholarship Foundation Program Office
