Guidance

The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Scholarship Foundation Program, is provided guidance by an Executive Committee of the Members of the Foundation who serve on a voluntary basis. Executive Committee terms coincide with their tenure of office and/or appointment and until their successors are elected and/or appointed. The activities and operations of the Scholarship Foundation Program are overseen by special committees. You can play a key role in helping the Scholarship Foundation Program succeed in advancing Muscogee students into promising career fields. Volunteer to be a part of the rewarding work of giving back to your profession. Remember that the amount of time you have to give is not as important as your willingness to give your support to the Scholarship Foundation Program for continuing its work.

Sub-Committees

  • This committee is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Scholarship Foundation Program in two areas: providing career assistance and awarding research grants. In the area of career assistance, it administers the Scholarship Foundation Program’s scholarship program, as well as gathering and dispensing information on tribal careers and schools. The research component addresses providing grants for research that will advance Muscogee people into professional/technical careers and seeing that this research is published.

  • This committee is responsible for generating the funds needed to carry out the work of the Scholarship Foundation Program. It develops, implements, and oversees all fund-raising activities.

  • This committee is responsible for overseeing the finances of the Scholarship Foundation Program, including the development of financial reports and budgets. It also includes seeing that the Scholarship Foundation Program’s policies regarding donations/gifts, payments and investments are followed.

  • This committee is responsible for communicating the mission and activities of the Scholarship Foundation Program by all means possible, including press releases, newsletters, website, exhibits, electronic communications, social media such as Facebook, and other forums as appropriate. This committee also oversees the Scholarship Foundation Program’s marketing and works with all the committees to ensure that the release of information regarding the Foundation Program is clear and consistent.
